Tracy Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to parents of Greek descent. Spiridakos made her name as Charlotte Matheson (Charlie) Matheson in the NBC science-fiction television series Revolution. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Greek-born parents. Her family relocated to the Greek town of Skala located near Sparta in the year she turned four years old, before returning to Canada at the age of nine. She strongly believes in her Greek roots, and is proficient in Greek. The high school she graduated from was in Winnipeg and was in 2000. Spiridakos relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia, in 2007 and began acting. Within a matter of weeks she landed her first TV role: an appearance on Supernatural. After a couple of years doing TV work, she got her first big role as a star in Majority Rules, in the year 2009.
